Identification Types Needed for Notarizations

State-issued Driver’s License
A valid state-issued driver’s license is the most commonly accepted form of identification for notarization. It must be current (or within the allowed expiration window), government-issued, and include a photo and signature.

U.S. Passport or Passport Card
A U.S. passport or passport card is an acceptable form of identification for notarization. It must be current and clearly identify the signer with a photo and personal details.

U.S. Military ID
Active duty, reserve, retired, and dependent military IDs are acceptable for notarization. These are federally issued photo IDs and meet identity verification requirements.

Credible Witness
A notary may rely on a credible witness if:
The witness personally knows the signer and

How do I know which notary service to select when booking? If you’re unsure which notarization you need, -On-Site notary services are performed at my location daily from 7AM to 7pm -Mobile Notary Service is provided 7AM-7PM daily. We travel to your location for notary services. Mileage of .70 cents per mile round trip is added to cost of service. -Afterhours services are provided until 10pm daily we travel to your location. Mileage rate of .70 per mile round trip and added to appointment cost at due prior to notarization. -Emergency services are for planned services that require late night or overnight hours. By appointment only. -Call us or request a call back back from us for immediate emergency services that are unscheduled and can't wait for normal business hours.
Can I book same-day or after-hours appointments? Same-day, evening, weekend, or emergency appointments are available based on availability. Appointments are booked online or by calling us or request a call back from us to book by phone.
Can you travel to my location for the appointment? Yes. Mobile notary service are available at homes, workplaces, hospitals, care facilities, and other agreed locations. What do I need to have ready for my notary appointment? -Please have your unsigned document, a valid government-issued photo ID, and all required signers present at the appointment location. -Documents must be signed in the notary’s presence unless otherwise instructed. -If your documents require witnesses please have them available at the appointment time. Notarizing witness signatures add to the cost of the appointment and billed at the time of appoint before notarization.

How long does a typical notary appointment take? Most notary appointments take 10–20 minutes, depending on the document and number of signers.
Do all signers need to be present at the appointment? Yes. All individuals whose signatures require notarization must be present and able to communicate willingly at the time of the appointment.
What type of ID is acceptable for notarization? A valid, government-issued photo ID is required. The name on the ID must reasonably match the document being notarized.
Should my document be signed before the appointment? No. Most documents must be signed in the presence of the notary. If your document has already been signed, please let us know before the appointment.
Do you provide witnesses if my document requires them? Witness requirements vary by document. Please notify us in advance if witnesses are required so options can be discussed before the appointment.

How do I pay for a notary appointment? -Online bookings require prepayment at the time of booking. -Appointments scheduled by phone or text may be paid on-site at the time of appointment. -We accept cash, card, Chime, and Cash App for on-site payments for appointments made online. -Any additional notarized signatures, mileage, wait times or any other document fee's are due at the time of appointment and will be billed at that time appointment before notarization.
What Qualifies as Emergency Emergency notary services are reserved for time-sensitive situations that require immediate attention and cannot reasonably be delayed. Requests are evaluated individually based on urgency, document readiness, and availability.
Availability & Service Limitations After-hours and emergency services are not guaranteed and are offered on a limited, appointment-based basis. Travel distance, document type, facility access, and current scheduling may affect availability.
